Job summary

Utah Transit Authority seeks a Payroll Analyst to oversee companywide payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance in a unionized environment. The role requires handling garnishments, year-end processing, tax filings, and audits while maintaining Workday expertise.

This full-time position combines in-office work in Salt Lake City with the possibility of up to one remote day per week after an initial six-month training period, subject to manager approval and business needs.

Qualifications

• Three years experience processing payroll for 500+ employees.
• Experience in a union environment preferred; annual credit check required.
• Associates degree in Accounting or related field; 2 extra years accepted in lieu.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and audit timely and accurate processing of companywide payroll.
• Process payroll per UTA policies, bargaining agreements, and regulations.
• Manage garnishments, leave balances, and payroll inquiries.
• Assist year-end processes and respond to payroll audits and tax filings.
• Maintain knowledge of Workday payroll system.
