Job summary

The City of Las Vegas is seeking a Payroll Analyst in the Finance Department to perform complex payroll and accounting duties, including reconciliations, audits, and system testing within Oracle EBS. The role requires strong Excel skills and thorough knowledge of payroll policies and federal/state regulations.

The successful candidate will analyze payroll data, prepare reports, balance accounts, and support system enhancements.

Qualifications

• Three years of payroll processing and reporting experience preferred.
• Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of federal/state payroll regulations and wage garnishments.

Responsibilities

• Audit, balance, and reconcile payroll data and related reports.
• Prepare payroll-related reports, journals and statements.
• Analyze complex pay policies and bargaining agreements.
• Test payroll systems and support software patches and changes.
• Collaborate with IT and HRIS on system enhancements and data integrity.
• Research issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
• Train users on payroll processes and maintain documentation.
