Deacon Recruiting seeks a Payroll Specialist-Contract to oversee U.S. and international payrolls on site in San Antonio. You will verify calculations, deductions, garnishments, and employee changes while ensuring timely processing and accuracy.

Qualificações

• 3+ years of beginning-to-end payroll processing across multi-state and international payrolls.
• Strong operational accounting background with payroll GL activity.
• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee accurate and timely processing of U.S. and international payrolls (weekly, biweekly, semi-monthly, monthly).
• Verify payroll calculations, deductions, withholdings, garnishments, and employee changes.
• Reconcile payroll GL accounts and post general ledger entries.
• Collaborate with employees and managers to resolve payroll questions and discrepancies.
• Assist with acquisitions, system implementations, and payroll integrations.

YOUR TYPICAL DAY…

Oversee accurate and timely processing of weekly, biweekly, semi-monthly, and monthly U.S. and international payrolls Verify payroll calculations, deductions, withholdings, manual payments, garnishments, and employee changes Reconcile payroll GL accounts and process general ledger entries Work directly with employees and managers to investigate and resolve payroll questions and discrepancies Assist with acquisitions, system implementations, and payroll integrations

YOU HAVE…

3+ years of beginning-to-end, multi-state payroll processing experience Strong operational accounting background and understanding of payroll-related GL activity Proven critical-thinking and problem-solving skills Ability to quickly learn new processes, take ownership, and independently drive assignments forward Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment Excellent attention to detail and written and verbal communication skills Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred, or equivalent experience
