Responsibilities
Process weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and federal/state regulations
Maintain payroll records and employee data within the payroll system (Coins)
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws, including preparation and filing of payroll tax reports
Prepare and maintain prevailing wage and OCIP (Owner Controlled Insurance Program) reports
Collaborate with Human Resources and Accounting to reconcile payroll, benefits, and related deductions
Respond to payroll‑related questions from field and office employees with professionalism and clarity
Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner
Assist with audits, year‑end reporting, and special payroll projects as needed
Continuously monitor payroll processes for efficiency and recommend improvements
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience preferred
2+ years of experience in payroll administration (construction industry background preferred) or an accounting role
Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations and compliance
Experience with prevailing wage and OCIP reporting
