Position Overview
TAS Energy Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Payroll Administrator to manage and process multi-state payroll operations accurately and on time. The role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while maintaining confidentiality and delivering excellent internal customer service to employees and management.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees.
- Maintain clock records for contract employees and process weekly payroll for all contract agencies.
- Maintain payroll records, including earnings, deductions, taxes, garnishments, and benefits.
- Review and verify employee timekeeping records for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure compliance with payroll laws and company policies.
- Prepare payroll reports and reconcile payroll accounts.
- Coordinate payroll-related activities with HR, Finance, and department managers.
- Prepare month-end reports for Finance and Health & Safety Departments.
- Maintain uniforms contracts and ensure billing accuracy for participating employees.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, taxes, deductions, and payroll procedures.
- Process new hires and terminations in the clock and ERP systems.
- Manage year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and audits.
- Assist with internal and external payroll audits.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for payroll processes and systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned by TAS.

Education & Training
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field preferred.
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification is a plus.
Minimum Requirements
- 3+ years of payroll administration experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Experience processing multi-state payroll.
Preferred Requirements
- Experience with payroll processing systems: ADP, ExponentHR, WorkDay, etc.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
- Understanding of manufacturing workforce payroll practices, including shift differentials and overtime calculations.
- Familiarity with time clock systems.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
Position requires working at least 80% to 95% at a desk with a computer. Occasional lifting up to 10 pounds is required, along with routine use of fingers, sitting, stooping, bending, crouching, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception, and field of vision necessary for data analysis and computer use.
