Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains hospital payroll and accounts payable.
• Verifies punch detail reports hours worked and hours paid.
• Processes accounts payable timely and accurately according to corporate policies.
• Matches purchase orders to invoices and resolves discrepancies with Materials Management.
• Works with vendors and employees on questions about payables.
• Performs A/P month-end close and ensures balance with the Controller.
• Maintains payroll and accounts payable reports and files.
• Maintains employee status on the system and payroll records.
• Maintains employee accruals and distributes benefit status reports.
• Reports payroll tax withheld for deposit with the IRS and the State of Alabama.
• Assists auditors and employees with payroll information.
