Job summary

ACESGroup is seeking a Payroll Officer to join our Finance team and support day-to-day operations. The role covers payroll (3.5 days) and accounts payable (1.5 days), reporting to the Finance Manager.

Based mainly at Campbelltown or Redfern, the position is office-based during a 6‑month probation period. You will work across payroll administration and accounts payable, ensuring accurate records and timely processing, with opportunities to participate in system upgrade projects and gain

Qualifications

• Experience processing payroll in a high-volume workforce (1000+ employees) is highly regarded.
• Exposure to payroll and accounts payable.
• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in an accounts or finance role.
• Experience with MYOB or similar accounting systems highly regarded.
• Intermediate Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Confident communicator who enjoys working with internal stakeholders.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a current National Police Check and meet pre-employment screening requirements.

Responsibilities

• Payroll Administration: end-to-end processing of payroll for a high-volume workforce, payroll reports and reconciliations, respond to payroll queries, maintain payroll data and systems.
• Accounts & Finance: process accounts payable, including supplier invoices and payments, support finance administration and ad-hoc finance tasks.
