Job summary

Chenega Agile Real Time Solutions, LLC is seeking an Accounting Technician- Payroll to support full-cycle payroll processing for multiple companies in a multi-state environment. You will validate data, enter payroll inputs, and maintain records to ensure employees are paid accurately and timely.

The role requires 2+ years in HR or Finance payroll-related work, proficiency with Excel, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting while upholding confidentiality and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Two years of HR or Finance experience in payroll, accounting, or related fields.
• Able to articulate Excel experience and provide examples.
• Able to pass background and drug screening.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Experience with payroll systems and Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Compile and validate payroll data including hours worked, earnings, taxes, deductions, benefits, and union dues.
• Prepare payroll input and enter data into payroll systems for multiple companies and states.
• Review payroll calculations and correct errors to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain employee payroll records, including tax elections, direct deposit, benefits, and garnishments.
• Assist in processing payrolls, including off-cycle and manual payments.
• Support payroll reporting activities including earnings, taxes, and deductions.
• Assist with preparation of payroll liability payments.
• Maintain payroll documentation in accordance with company policies.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Provide support to payroll team members and assist with cross-functional requests.
• Other duties as assigned
