Medical Associates Clinic in Dubuque, IA seeks a full-time Payroll & Accounting Specialist to join our Finance team. This hourly role requires strong Excel skills and experience in payroll, accounting, and general ledger maintenance.

You will manage bi-weekly payrolls, tax withholdings, 401(k) contributions, W-2s, and various monthly cash postings. Qualifications include 1–3 years of related experience and a two-year college degree or equivalent certification.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of payroll/accounting experience.
• Equivalent to a two-year college degree or business/trade school certification.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly and supplemental payrolls including earnings, deductions, overtime and tax withholdings.
• Submit ACH files to bank and remit payroll withholdings, employer taxes, 401(k) and garnishments.
• Maintain payroll system general ledger rules and W-4 records across multi-state rules.
• Perform payroll tax reconciliations and file quarterly returns; handle W-2 processing.
• Balance payroll-related GL accounts and manage cash postings in the general ledger.
