Job summary

Medical Associates is seeking a full-time Payroll & Accounting Specialist to join our Finance team in Dubuque, IA. The role is an hourly position with schedule Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, and flexible options available.

Responsibilities include bi-weekly payroll processing, tax remittance, general ledger reconciliations, cash management, and invoicing for outside contracts. Requires 1–3 years of related experience and an associate-level education.

Qualifications

• Experience using payroll processes and general ledger entries.
• Excel proficiency for data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly and supplemental payrolls, including deductions, overtime, and tax withholdings; submit ACH and remit taxes and 401(k) payments.
• Perform payroll tax reconciliations; file quarterly and year-end payroll tax returns and W-2s.
• Balance payroll withholding and other general ledger accounts monthly; perform GL reconciliations.
• Record daily cash transactions, deposits, and transfers; monitor checks and reconciling items.
• Process monthly invoicing for outside contracts related to non-patient care pay.
