Job summary

MV Transportation is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to plan, direct, and administer all work pertaining to financial reviews, payroll, Human Resources, and purchase order reconciliation for a large multi-location environment.

The successful candidate will supervise payroll staff, coordinate weekly payroll, ensure compliance with federal and state laws, and work with HR on hires, benefits, and terminations, while providing financial support to the General Manager and regional

Qualifications

• B.A. or B.S. in Accounting is a plus and or applicable accounting experience of 3 years or more.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience with payroll, benefits administration, and AP/GL processes.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise payroll staff.
• Oversee weekly payroll processing.
• Coordinate with Human Resources on hires, status changes, and terminations.
• Monitor employee benefits and leave programs.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and corporate policies.
• Assist with year-end reporting and reconciliations.
• Provide financial support to General Manager and regional controllers.
• Review and reconcile purchase orders and vendor invoices.
