Job summary

The Standard is seeking a Payroll and Accounting Analyst to ensure accurate, timely payroll processing and robust payroll tax administration. You will work closely with HR, Benefits, and Finance to maintain data integrity and support audits, with a focus on continuous process improvements and customer service excellence.

The role requires multi-state payroll experience, strong Excel and ERP/Workday skills, and a willingness to travel annually.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; associate degree preferred.
  • 6 years of payroll experience, multi-state workforce widely distributed.
  • Strong payroll tax compliance knowledge at federal, state and local levels.
  • Experience with large ERP/payroll systems, including Workday preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills for analysis, reconciliation and reporting.
  • Ability to leverage automation and AI tools to improve payroll processes.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and audit payroll data for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
  • Perform payroll reconciliations and tax reporting activities.
  • Research and resolve complex payroll issues and notices.
  • Collaborate with HR, Benefits, Finance, HRIS and vendors on inquiries.
  • Support audits and participate in testing of payroll system enhancements.
