Job summary

Hoxton Circle is seeking a Payroll Accountant to own semi-monthly US payroll for salaried, hourly staff and interns. You will input data from Workday and ADP, prepare payroll JEs in Business Central, and reconcile payroll-related accounts.

You’ll also support audits, generate month-end schedules, and help train backups, with occasional international oversight as the team grows. This role is onsite in Santa Clara, 3 days a week.

Qualifications

• 4-7+ years of hands-on payroll, including multi-state US payroll cycles.
• Support AR/AP/GL activity and understand payroll impacts on the general ledger.
• Strong knowledge of US payroll regulations, wage-and-hour rules, and deductions.
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to handle large datasets.
• Clear communication to explain payroll calculations and GL impact.
• Onsite to Santa Clara 3 days per week with month/quarter-end peak flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end semi-monthly US payroll for salaried and hourly staff and interns.
• Input changes, run previews, and route payment packages to Controllers and CFO.
• Prepare and post payroll JEs in Business Central; reconcile payroll accounts monthly.
• Produce month-end schedules and variance analysis by entity, department, and cost center.
• Support audit docs, quarter/year-end tasks, W-2s, and SOPs; provide backup coverage.
