Job summary

TDIndustries, Inc. is seeking a Payroll Accountant to support accurate payroll processing within Workday, ensuring correct recording of payroll transactions and reconciliations of related general ledger accounts.

You will collaborate with HR, Benefits, and Finance to resolve variances, prepare payroll journal entries, and assist with tax filings while upholding multi-state compliance and GAAP principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• 3+ years of progressive payroll experience.
• 2+ years of general ledger reconciliations experience.
• Workday Payroll experience strongly preferred.
• Multi-state payroll processing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts monthly, including taxes, accruals, benefits withholdings, garnishments, and 401(k) contributions.
• Prepare and post payroll journal entries to the general ledger after each payroll cycle.
• Validate payroll register data against GL activity and resolve discrepancies.
• Support month-/quarter-/year-end close processes with accruals and reconciliations.
• Ensure accurate computation and reporting of payroll taxes; assist with Form 941, W-2, W-3 filings.
• Maintain and reconcile employee benefit withholding accounts (medical/dental/vision, FSA/HSA, 401(k)).
• Respond to employee pay inquiries professionally and timely.
• Assist audits with准备 schedules and reconciliations.
• Identify process improvements to strengthen payroll accuracy and controls in Workday and GL.
• Assist in bi-weekly/semi-monthly payroll runs in Workday.
