Job summary

Calculated Hire is seeking a Senior Payroll Accountant to support payroll operations within a large enterprise environment. The role includes maintaining accurate general ledger entries, performing reconciliations, and ensuring proper accrual accounting for employee compensation and benefits.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of accounting experience, strong GL and payroll accounting skills, proficiency in Excel, and familiarity with SAP S/4HANA and Blackline. This position will provide guidance on accounting treatments and support payroll system upgrades.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of accounting experience with direct payroll accounting responsibilities.
• Strong command of GL accounting, accruals, reconciliation, and payroll-related accounting treatments.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and Power Query.

Responsibilities

• Handle payroll accounting, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and GL entries.
• Manage PTO/vacation reserve tracking and year-end vacation payouts.
• Prepare and post payroll-related journal entries to the general ledger.

Job description

WSeeking a Senior Payroll Accountant to support payroll accounting operations within a large enterprise environment. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate general ledger entries related to payroll, performing balance sheet reconciliations, and ensuring proper accrual accounting for employee compensation, benefits, and stock activity. The Senior Payroll Accountant will take on greater ownership of complex reconciliations and provide guidance on accounting treatments
