Job summary

W-Industries is seeking a Payroll Accountant to support payroll accounting, reconcile accounts, and prepare payroll journal entries. You will coordinate with Payroll, Accounting, Accounts Payable, and operations to ensure accurate labor costs and timely closes.

Ideal candidates hold an associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, with strong Excel skills and experience in payroll systems such as Paylocity.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, or office-management experience may be considered in place of formal education.
• Two years of experience in accounting, payroll accounting, or related role involving journal entries and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post payroll-related timesheet entries using HRIS data (Paylocity).
• Reconcile payroll expenses, liabilities, deductions, taxes, and other payroll accounts.
• Reconcile payroll deposits, withdrawals, and funding activity to payroll reports and bank records.
• Review payroll activity for missing, duplicate, or incorrect transactions and research discrepancies.
• Create labor distributions and job-cost coding with accuracy; prepare cost transfers and reclassifications.
• Maintain schedules and documentation for payroll entries and corrections.
• Coordinate information between Payroll, Accounting, Accounts Payable, and operations.
