Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is seeking a Payroll Accountant in Camas, WA to lead full-cycle payroll and AP processing. The role reports to the Corporate Controller and acts as a liaison between Finance and department managers, ensuring accurate GL reconciliations and GAAP month-end close.

The ideal candidate will have progressive payroll experience, proficiency with ADP, strong Excel skills, and confidentiality in handling sensitive payroll data.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or related field preferred but not required.
• Progressive accounting experience including payroll processing and payables.
• Hands-on proficiency with payroll software (ADP preferred).
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Office Suite skills.
• Interpersonal skills with ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and deadline management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Full-Cycle Payroll Administration: manage payroll disbursements, tax calculations, reconciliations, and confidential records.
• Accounts Payable Processing: review/invoice coding, PO maintenance, vendor reconciliation, and cost tracking.
• General Ledger & Month-End Close: reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Financial Analysis & Liaison: communicate reconciliations and metrics to operational leaders; prepare management reports.
• Process Improvement: identify system or coding issues and contribute to ERP optimization and workflow enhancements.
