Placements24 is seeking a meticulous and experienced Payroll Accountant to manage the full payroll cycle for our client’s operations in Paarl. The role ensures timely salary payments and compliance with SA payroll laws, including tax regulations.

You will handle payroll reconciliations, statutory submissions to SARS, and address employee payroll inquiries, contributing to accurate payroll governance and employee satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Accounting or Payroll Management.
• Minimum of 4–6 years of experience in payroll accounting and administration.
• In-depth knowledge of South African payroll legislation and tax regulations.

Responsibilities

• Process the full payroll cycle accurately and timeously for all employees.
• Ensure compliance with all South African payroll legislation, including PAYE, UIF, and SDL.
• Perform payroll reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and make necessary adjustments.
• Manage employee data, including new hires, terminations, and changes in employment conditions.
• Prepare and submit statutory payroll reports to SARS and other relevant authorities.
• Liaise with HR and finance departments on payroll-related matters and employee queries.

About the Role

This role is critical in ensuring the accurate and timely payment of salaries and wages, as well as compliance with all relevant payroll legislation and tax regulations.
