Job summary

SDL Search Partners is seeking a Payroll Accountant for a firm south of Boston. The role focuses on accurate payroll processing and supporting billing and finance operations.

You will manage bi-weekly payroll, payroll records, accounts payable and receivable, and assist with month-end close. An associate or bachelor's in a related field is preferred but not required; 1 year of payroll experience is required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of payroll experience (required).
• Working knowledge of payroll systems and basic accounting principles.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and handle confidential information.
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time.
• Maintain employee payroll records, including deductions, benefits, and time reporting.
• Manage full cycle accounts payable: vendor setup, invoice entry, approvals, payments.
• Oversee accounts receivable: generate invoices, track payments, follow up on overdue accounts.
• Assist with monthly billing processes and reconcile discrepancies.
• Support month-end closing with reports and account reconciliations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure data integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain employee payroll records, including deductions, benefits, and time reporting
