Job summary

Banc of California is seeking an Officer, Relationship Manager - Payments to develop new business opportunities for BancEdge merchant services, pursuing referrals and calling on small and midsize businesses to identify payment processing opportunities.

You will manage a portfolio, build relationships, lead product demonstrations, and coordinate implementation with cross-functional teams, with travel of about 50% across Southern California.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 2-4 years in payments, merchant services, treasury management, banking, or related roles.
• Working knowledge of payment processing, card acquiring, merchant services solutions, and the client lifecycle.
• Ability to generate new business, conduct sales calls, and develop client and referral relationships.
• Ability to independently manage a sales pipeline and portfolio and achieve revenue goals.

Responsibilities

• Generate revenue by selling payment processing and acquiring services to SMB clients and prospects.
• Develop new payment and acquiring relationships and deepen existing client relationships.
• Build and maintain internal and external referral networks to generate opportunities.
• Lead client presentations, product demonstrations, and consultative sales discussions.
• Coordinate setup and implementation and provide training to clients on payment products and services.
• Develop and execute relationship plans and retention activities for assigned clients.
• Monitor portfolio activity and ensure adherence to policy and escalate issues.
