Job summary

Huntington National Bank is seeking a skilled backend software engineer to develop and maintain Java-based services, design RESTful APIs, and ensure performance and resiliency in a cloud-focused payments ecosystem.

You will collaborate with offshore/onshore teams, apply DevSecOps practices, and contribute to IaC, CI/CD, and monitoring tools; 5+ years of experience and cloud expertise required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 5+ years of related experience or 9+ years of equivalent work history.
• 5+ years building cloud-native applications on GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Experience with IaC automation (Terraform) and secure RESTful API development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java-based back-end services with performance tuning and resiliency patterns.
• Design and build RESTful APIs including contract-first design, documentation, and testing.
• Demonstrate knowledge of GCP, CLI, and integrations within the payments ecosystem.
• Lead end-to-end delivery for team initiatives, coordinating planning, design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with offshore/onshore teams to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of artifacts.
