Job summary

Huntington National Bank seeks a mid-level Java Developer to join our payments technology team in Columbus, OH. You will develop, enhance, and support high-volume origination, processing, and settlement services using Java, Spring, and microservices in a cloud-enabled environment.

You will collaborate with analysts, architects, and operations to design reliable APIs, maintain CI/CD pipelines, and troubleshoot production issues, with on-call rotations and documentation responsibilities.

Qualifications

• BS degree in CS, Engineering or related field.
• 3–7+ years hands-on Java/J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, REST APIs and microservices.
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure) and NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and support Java-based applications and microservices.
• Participate in solution design, code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs, file-processing solutions, and payment processing services.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues across integrations, databases, middleware, and cloud platforms.
• Collaborate with analysts, testers, architects, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Support highly available production systems and participate in on-call rotations.
• Maintain technical documentation and onboarding materials.
• Contribute to Agile delivery and continuous improvement.
