Job summary

Huntington Bancshares, Inc. seeks a mid-level Java Developer for the Payments Technology team to build and sustain high-volume payment origination, processing, and settlement applications.

You will work on Java, Spring, microservices, REST APIs, and cloud technologies in a mission-critical financial environment. You'll design, develop, test, and support services, collaborate with analysts and architects, and participate in Agile delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a Related Field.
• 3-7+ Years of Hands on Java/J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, REST APIs, JSON, and Microservices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and support Java-based applications and microservices.
• Participate in solution design, code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support activities.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs, file-processing solutions, and payment processing services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues involving application integrations, databases, middleware, and cloud platforms.
• Collaborate with business analysts, testers, architects, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Support highly available production systems and participate in on-call support rotations.
• Maintain technical documentation, developer standards, troubleshooting guides, and onboarding materials.
• Contribute to Agile delivery processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
