Job summary

Rho is seeking a Payment Operations Associate to support day-to-day payment processing in a fast-paced fintech environment. You will process repayments, issue rewards and credits, handle exceptions, and keep credit/card program settings up to date, working with Credit Risk, Client Services, Fraud, Compliance, and our partner bank.

The role involves managing ACH, wire, and other payment rails, maintaining documentation, and driving process improvements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in payment operations, banking operations, treasury operations, or similar at fintech/bank/payment processor.
• Working knowledge of payment rails - ACH, Fedwire, RTP, card networks, and remittance processes.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in reconciliations.
• Comfort with recurring deadlines and high transaction volume.
• Ticketing systems (Jira), BI dashboards (Looker), spreadsheets, bank portals; SQL is a plus.
• Clear written communicator coordinating across multiple teams.
• Sound judgment on escalation decisions.

Responsibilities

• Process client repayments on a fixed schedule and handle non-standard accounts.
• Issue rewards, credits, and incentives; reconcile against system figures and provide breakdowns on request.
• Maintain credit and card program settings; update limits, terms, cycles, and pricing.
• Manage wire operations with partner bank and enrollments/limits for drawdown wires.
• Initiate ACH returns/reversals per NACHA rules and deadlines.
• Support fraud and credit reviews; expedite settlements after approvals.
• Produce weekly delinquency reports and monitor overdue balances; escalate for client outreach.
• Route compliance, fraud, and legal escalations to the right internal teams.
• Support Standby Letters of Credit and month-end fee statements.
• Identify manual steps for automation and work with Product/Engineering to improve workflows.
