Job summary

Rho is seeking a Payment Operations Associate in New York to support day-to-day payment processing, client repayments, rewards, and wire/ACH operations. You will work with Credit Risk, Client Services, Fraud, Compliance, and our partner bank to ensure accurate posting, timely statements, and compliant workflows.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in payment operations at fintechs or banks, strong attention to detail, and experience with Jira, Looker, and bank portals.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in payment operations or similar at fintech/bank.
• Working knowledge of payment rails (ACH, wire, card) and reconciliation.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when processing payments.
• Able to handle high-volume, deadline-driven work with precision.
• Proficient with Jira, BI dashboards, spreadsheets, bank portals; SQL is a plus.
• Clear written communication across Credit Risk, Client Services, Fraud, and Compliance.

Responsibilities

• Process client repayments and run recurring ACH pulls on a fixed due-date schedule.
• Issue rewards, credits, and incentives and provide cashback breakdowns on request.
• Maintain credit and card program settings and update records across systems.
• Manage wire operations, recalls, returns, and drawdown enrollments with the partner bank.
• Handle ACH returns and reversals per NACHA rules and timelines.
• Support fraud and credit review and expedited settlements when approved.
• Produce weekly delinquency reports and monitor 30-day repayment balances daily.
• Route compliance, fraud and legal escalations to the appropriate teams.
• Support Letter of Credit programs with the partner bank and month-end statements.
• Identify manual steps for automation and work with Product/Engineering to close gaps.
