Job summary

Rho is hiring a Payment Operations Associate to support day-to-day payment processing, rewards issuance, and settlement management. You will work with Credit Risk, Client Services, Fraud, Compliance, and a partner bank to keep payment rails accurate and compliant.

You will handle ACH, wire, and card-related operations, monitor settlements, and help improve workflows with Product and Engineering. A detail-oriented mindset and experience in fintech payments are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in payment operations, banking operations, treasury operations, or a similar function at a fintech, bank, or payment processor.
• Working knowledge of payment rails — ACH, Fedwire, RTP, card networks, and remote deposit; how failures, returns, or late settlements occur.
• Exceptional attention to detail; you reconcile before release and catch errors.
• Comfort with recurring hard deadlines and high transaction volume while maintaining accuracy.
• Hands-on with Jira, Looker, spreadsheets, and bank portals; SQL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process client repayments with recurring ACH pulls on fixed due-date schedules and handle non-standard accounts manually.
• Issue cashback rewards, credits, and incentives; reconcile against system figures and provide breakdowns on request.
• Maintain credit and card program settings across systems and document changes.
• Manage wire operations: trace requests, recalls, returns, and enrollments for drawdown wires.
• Manage ACH operations: initiate returns and reversals per NACHA rules and timeframes.
• Support fraud and credit review; expedite settlements after approval and flag unusual transactions.
