Job summary

Rho is the modern banking platform built for the AI era. We are looking for a Payment Operations Associate to support day-to-day payment processing, including client repayments, rewards, credits, and exceptions, working with Credit Risk, Client Services, Fraud, Compliance, and our partner bank.

You will manage wire and ACH operations, review NACHA rules, monitor delinquency, and generate weekly reports. The role offers equity, comprehensive healthcare, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in payment operations, banking operations, treasury operations, or a similar function at a fintech, bank, or payment processor.
• Working knowledge of payment rails — ACH, Fedwire, RTP, card networks, and what happens when a payment fails, returns, or settles late.
• Exceptional attention to detail. You reconcile before you release, and you catch the transposed digit.
• Comfort with recurring hard deadlines and high transaction volume without losing accuracy.
• Hands‑on with operational tooling: ticketing systems (Jira), BI dashboards (Looker), spreadsheets, and bank portals. SQL is a plus, not a requirement.
• Clear written communicator. Much of this role is coordinating across Credit Risk, Client Services, Fraud, and Compliance in writing.

Responsibilities

• Process client repayments and run recurring ACH pulls.
• Issue rewards, credits, and incentives on a set monthly schedule.
• Maintain credit and card program settings and update records across systems.
• Manage wire operations, including trace requests, recalls, and enrollments.
• Manage ACH operations, returns, and reversals in line with NACHA rules.
• Support fraud and credit review; expedite settlements and hold transactions for review when needed.
• Report on delinquency and monitor overdue balances daily for escalation.
• Route compliance, fraud and legal escalations and coordinate with internal teams.
