Job summary

Canvas is seeking a Payment Operations Specialist to ensure accurate and timely processing of payment files and member inquiries. You will work to detect fraud, reconcile accounts, and support issue resolution in a fast-paced credit union environment.

This full-time role offers comprehensive benefits and a starting pay range of $24.00-$27.00 per hour, depending on experience and internal equity factors. Join a team dedicated to member service and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of Regulation CC and Regulation E and NACHA/State/FED rules.
• Strong verbal and written communication with peers and management.
• Attention to detail with ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Proficient in MS Office; prior banking/financial institution experience preferred.
• Pre-employment background review required.

Responsibilities

• Receive, process and transmit files including domestic and international wire transfers, ACH and returns.
• Respond to member inquiries in a timely, professional manner per service levels.
• Identify suspicious activity and notify Fraud Team with details for investigation.
• Reconcile GL accounts and coordinate with Accounting to resolve issues.
• Process exception files and make pay/no pay decisions within deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and credit union policies.
