Job summary

Rainforest, an early-stage payments‑as‑a‑service startup, is seeking an experienced Technical Product Owner to partner with our Rails engineering team to define and prioritize payment products embedded in our clients' vertical SaaS software.

You’ll enjoy autonomy, help build payment infrastructure moving billions of dollars, craft tickets and user stories, collaborate with vendors, and grow your product experience within an agile, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a Product Owner or similar role.
• Strong technical background with ability to understand a modern cloud-based SaaS payments product architecture.
• Understanding of roadmaps, vision and strategy, and product-market research.
• Experience gathering requirements, creating documentation, and user stories in agile Scrum.
• Ability to visualize and prototype stories and feature sets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of product initiatives and releases by defining goals, requirements, and constraints.
• Translate product strategy into well-defined functional and technical requirements for engineering.
• Attend agile ceremonies with the Rails team and drive delivery of production-ready features.
• Manage and prioritize the product backlog.
• Build strong collaboration with product, engineering, and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate vendor integrations and ensure accuracy and maintainability.
