Payments Education Strategist

Job summary

The Clearing House is seeking a Payments Education Specialist who will leverage expertise in US payment channels to support bank members and corporate subscribers. The role includes creating and delivering payments education, handling ad hoc member support, and potentially leading contracted consulting engagements under the Director, Payments Compliance & Consulting.

Responsibilities include staying current on payment system regulations, planning education programs, and traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 2-5 years of business or FI operations experience
• Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) with strong knowledge of the ACH payment system
• Knowledge of other payment systems such as wire, check, credit/debit cards and instant payments helpful
• Certifications such as APRP, AFPP, NCP and CTP desired
• Self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team
• Strong detail oriented, organized and analytical skills
• MS Office applications proficiency; presentation experience with WebEx/GoToMeetings or similar webinar program

Responsibilities

• Receives telephone and email inquiries and provides timely support to members and others
• Stays current on rules and regulations for various payment systems
• Develops and delivers payments education for members, subscribers and prospects
• Plans and executes payments education programming for members
• Plans and executes contracted engagements and custom payments education programming
• Represents the company professionally
• Participates in internal/external education for consistency of performance
• Travel required over the course of the year with some seasons heavier
