Job summary

Payments Dive seeks a sharp, experienced Reporter to provide timely coverage of the payments industry, including banking and technology. The role includes daily briefs, in-depth features, and collaboration with the team to plan editorial projects.

You’ll report to the Lead Editor and develop a beat within the payments space. Corrections note: candidate must report regularly to one of Informa TechTarget’s offices (Washington, NY, Boston or Portland OR) as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to write and report for business/tech audiences.
• Ability to interpret financial reports, SEC filings, and regulatory materials.
• Experience covering payments, fintech, or financial services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contribute excellent news stories to Payments Dive and the daily newsletter.
• Identify key industry storylines to own and develop.
• Pitch and execute standout pieces on breaking payments news and trends.
• Track analytics to gauge reader engagement and adjust coverage.
• Collaborate with the Payments Dive team on assignments and editing.
