The role requires strong writing, reporting experience in fintech or financial services, and a bachelor’s/graduate degree in journalism or English. Hybrid newsroom collaboration and growth opportunities offered.

Qualifications

Track record of strong writing and reporting in a fast-paced news environment.
Experience in business, financial services, payments and/or fintech reporting preferred.
Ability to interpret and analyze business concepts, including financial reports and regulatory documents.
Ability to build relationships with industry sources and grasp complex subjects.
Strong digital news knowledge and aptitude for finding information.
Deadline-oriented with the ability to turn around stories on tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

Contribute excellent news stories to the Payments Dive site and daily newsletter.
Identify key industry storylines we can own.
Pitch and write standout pieces on breaking payments news.
Track analytics to gauge reader engagement and resonance.
Collaborate with the Payments Dive team on projects and editorial initiatives.
