Job summary

Informa TechTarget's Payments Dive seeks a sharp, experienced Reporter to cover the payments industry, with reporting across banking and technology. You’ll produce daily briefs and in-depth features, and collaborate with the Payments Dive team on editorial projects.

The role reports to the Lead Editor and requires driving fresh, original storylines while meeting tight deadlines and delivering enterprise journalism.

Qualifications

• Track record of strong writing and reporting in a fast-paced news environment.
• Ability to interpret and analyze business concepts, financial reports, and regulatory documents.
• Ability to build relationships with industry, government, sources and understand complex payments topics.
• Strong digital news knowledge and aptitude for finding information.
• Deadline-oriented with ability to turn around stories on tight deadlines, including breaking news.
• Bachelor’s or graduate degree in journalism, English or similar field.
• At least 3 years experience in writing and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Contribute excellent news stories to Payments Dive website and daily newsletter, and collaborate on assignments and editing.
• Identify key industry storylines we can own.
• Pitch and execute standout pieces on breaking news in payments.
• Track analytics to gauge reader engagement.
• Collaborate with Payments team on evolving newsroom projects.
