Informa TechTarget, based in Portland, seeks a sharp Reporter to cover the payments industry, including banking and technology. You’ll produce timely stories, briefs and features for Payments Dive, working with a talented team to deliver fast, accurate reporting.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in journalism, a degree in journalism or English, strong writing and reporting skills, and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Strong writing and reporting skills with newsroom experience.
• Ability to analyze business concepts, financials, and regulatory filings.
• Ability to build relationships with industry sources.
• Strong digital news knowledge and online research skills.
• Deadline-driven with ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Bachelor’s or graduate degree in journalism, English or related field.

Responsibilities

• Contribute excellent news stories to Payments Dive and edit with the team.
• Identify key industry storylines to own.
• Pitch and produce standout pieces on breaking payments news.
• Track analytics to gauge reader engagement.
• Collaborate with Payments team on newsroom projects.
