Job summary

BILL is seeking an Analytics Owner for its Payments products within the Payments and Financial Services (PFS) group. You will define the analytics agenda, establish KPIs, and partner with Product, Engineering, Finance, and GTM leadership from day one to drive strategic roadmap decisions.

You will lead experiments, apply causal inference, and build production-grade data models in dbt. You will automate reporting and create executive-ready insights for senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in product analytics, data science, or related quantitative field, owning a domain end to end.
• Self-directed work: identify high-impact problems and ship solutions.
• Proficient in SQL and Python; production experience with dbt or similar tools.
• Experience with experimentation, causal inference, and deciding when to apply each tool.
• Fluency with AI-native tooling and understanding of its limits.
• Ability to turn ambiguous questions into a metrics framework and defend it.
• Data storytelling that translates findings into actions for product teams.

Responsibilities

• Set analytics agenda for Payments and define KPIs and OKRs.
• Own the Payments analytics relationship and establish cadence with Product.
• Run experiments and apply causal inference to back recommendations.
• Build production-grade data models in dbt with tests and docs.
• Automate recurring reporting and enable AI-assisted workflows.
• Drive executive reporting and adoption across leadership.
• Present findings to senior stakeholders with confidence.
• Collaborate with data engineering and Finance to ensure data quality.
