Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in the United States is seeking an on-site/field technical role to install and configure payment devices, troubleshoot issues, and ensure connectivity with payment processing systems.

Responsibilities include firmware upgrades, device lifecycle management, and coordinating with network and security teams to resolve payment-related problems across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Experience with installing and deploying payment devices.
• Knowledge of Stripe, Equinox, and Verifone terminals.
• Ability to troubleshoot payment devices and networks.
• Familiarity with device lifecycle management and firmware upgrades.
• Experience supporting multiple locations including airports or branches.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and deploy payment devices including Stripe, Equinox, and Verifone terminals.
• Perform device staging, firmware upgrades, software updates, and configuration management.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, and transaction-related issues on payment devices.
• Manage payment devices through centralized management portals and ensure successful connectivity to payment processing systems.
• Provide remote and on-site technical support to business locations, airports, and branch offices.
• Coordinate with network, server, security, and application teams to resolve payment-related issues.
• Maintain spare inventory, depot stock, asset records, and device lifecycle documentation.
• Procure, stock, and manage required payment and IT hardware components.
• Dispatch configured devices to business locations and track deployment status.
• Monitor device health, performance, and compliance with organizational standards.
• Work with vendors and OEMs for escalations, RMA processing, and issue resolution.
• Ensure adherence to SLA, incident management, and change management processes.
• Create and maintain operational documentation, SOPs, and knowledge articles.
• Support business continuity by ensuring payment devices remain operational and available.

Salary Range-$60,000-$80,000 a year
