Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services seeks an experienced Product Owner with 10+ years in the field and 5+ years in product ownership to define product vision, strategy, and roadmap for complex payments systems. You will work across architecture, engineering, and business teams to deliver scalable, secure payment platforms with microservices, API integrations, and event-based messaging using MQ and Kafka.

Qualifications

• Requires 10+ years professional experience with minimum 5+ years as Product Owner
• Defines and communicates product vision, strategy and roadmap
• Strong domain knowledge in payments lifecycle and systems (channels, middleware, engines, sanctions, reporting, accounting, clearing)
• Experience with distributed architectures including microservices, containers, API-driven integrations and event-based messaging (MQ, Kafka)
• Bilingual with Spanish strongly preferred
• Experience evaluating technology tradeoffs and guiding enterprise design decisions
• Experience using Visio, JIRA, Confluence
• Strong verbal and written communication; collaborative across teams
• Experience with payments rails/products (FedWire, Chips, TCH, SEPA, Wires, ACH, RTP, SWIFT, ISO)
• Hands-on experience with AI models/tools (Copilot, Claude) a plus
• 5+ years overall experience; fast learner; able to learn new products/technologies quickly
• Responsible for requirements refinement and end-to-end solutioning on critical payments programs
• Drive requirements refinement with business/ops/tech stakeholders; create HLD and FRs using Agile SAF (deliverable, epic, story)
• Work with Enterprise Architecture and Engineering to deliver end-to-end solutions
• Translate regulatory and business requirements into scalable platform designs; decompose initiatives
• Enforce non-functional requirements (resiliency, scalability, SLA, security, observability)
• Identify impediments; present multiple tech solutions for stakeholder decisions
• Conduct architecture reviews and governance per enterprise standards
• Partner with Product/Project Managers and Engineering to prioritize technology-focused backlog items
