Job summary

North American Partners in Anesthesia is seeking a Payment Posting Specialist for a full-time, hourly role based in Sunrise, FL. The ideal candidate will interpret Explanations of Benefits (EOBs), accurately posting and balancing daily payments while identifying and resolving posting discrepancies.

Strong investigative and troubleshooting abilities, attention to accuracy, and intermediate Microsoft Excel proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Previous experience in payment posting, accounts receivable, billing, cash applications, or related financial role preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Post and reconcile payments received through checks, ACH, EFT, credit cards, lockbox deposits, and other payment methods.
• Accurately apply payments, adjustments, credits, refunds, and contractual allowances to appropriate accounts.
• Review remittance information and supporting documentation to ensure accurate transaction processing.
• Research and resolve unapplied payments, overpayments, underpayments, unidentified payments, and posting discrepancies.
• Reconcile daily payment activity to bank deposits, remittance reports, and system totals.
• Maintain accurate records of payment posting and reconciliation activities.
