Job summary

Harbor Brand seeks a Payment Poster to join the Toledo team. The role handles daily revenue cycle tasks to ensure accurate claim submission and timely receipts, in a full-time 1st shift position.

Required: certificate in Medical Billing or an associate degree (or 4 years related experience). Experience in behavioral health billing is preferred, with strong attention to detail and teamwork. Proficiency with MS Office and EHR systems is expected.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Medical Billing or an associate degree in business, healthcare, accounting, or closely related field required, or may substitute four years related experience in lieu of degree.
• Demonstrated knowledge of health/behavioral health billing procedures and eligibilities for third-party providers preferred.
• Previous coding experience in a behavioral healthcare setting preferred.
• Strongly prefer prior experience in customer service and behavioral health setting.
• Must have strong attention to detail and be able to communicate effectively with various individuals.
• Competent computer skills using Microsoft Office 365, Excel, and EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Processes daily mail payments and Explanation of Benefits that accompany payments.
• Enters payments and zero-payments received and balances input to deposit.
• Utilizes appropriate software to perform daily tasks including provider portals and vendor portals.
• Balances monthly payments deposited to payments posted in billing software.
• Organizes and files deposit information and revenue cycle payment posting documentation promptly.
• Maintains file storage and prepares posting files for storage in a timely manner.
• Monitors and maintains aging unposted cash to keep outstanding unposted revenue current.

Education/Experience/Other Requirements
