FinteqHub is seeking a Payments Optimization Specialist to improve payment performance and transaction success rates. You will turn data into actionable strategies, identify issues, optimise routing, and deliver reliable processing for clients.

This role requires strong SQL, API knowledge, and data-visualisation skills, with the ability to communicate insights to stakeholders and drive cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL skills and query optimization.
• Experience with HTTP, APIs, REST, SOAP, JSON; Postman and browser tools.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and predictive modelling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor payment performance metrics and KPIs to identify unusual patterns, emerging issues, and optimisation opportunities.
• Analyse transaction data and payment trends, prepare reports, and recommend improvements to payment performance and revenue.
• Investigate payment and integration issues using API requests, logs, Postman, browser developer tools, and monitoring systems.
• Support payment configuration and transaction routing optimisation based on performance data and business needs.
• Conduct ad hoc analysis to support business initiatives, product development, and client requests.
• Present analytical findings and actionable recommendations to technical and business stakeholders.

About Product

FinteqhubА PCI DSS certified payment gateway for online businesses, providing integration with payment systems via a single software platform.

Purpose of the role

You’ll improve payment performance and transaction success rates by turning data into actionable optimisation strategies. Your work will help Finteqhub identify and resolve payment issues, optimise transaction routing, and deliver more reliable and efficient payment processing for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor payment performance metrics and KPIs to identify unusual patterns, emerging issues, and optimisation opportunities
• Analyse transaction data and payment trends, prepare reports, and recommend improvements to payment performance and revenue
• Investigate payment and integration issues using API requests, logs, Postman, browser developer tools, and monitoring systems
• Support payment configuration and transaction routing optimisation based on performance data and business needs
• Conduct ad hoc analysis to support business initiatives, product development, and client requests
• Present analytical findings and actionable recommendations to technical and business stakeholders

Required Experience

• Upper-intermediate English (B2) or higher, with the ability to communicate insights clearly through presentations and written reports
• Strong SQL skills, including query optimisation and database performance tuning
• Understanding of HTTP, APIs, REST, SOAP, JSON, and web technologies, with hands-on experience using Postman or similar tools and browser developer tools
• Experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI, preferably Tableau.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and predictive modelling
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a sense of ownership, and the ability to collaborate across teams

Nice to have

• Experience working with payment systems, gateways, acquirers, or payment service providers
• Understanding of payment flows, card schemes, merchant requirements, and transaction routing
• Background in technical support, integration support, or technical account management
• Programming or scripting experience, including working with APIs
• Familiarity with AI tools and their applications in data analysis and payment optimisation
• Russian language proficiency
