Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Payload Operator Field Engineer Level 2 or 3 for deployment to classified locations. The role involves travel up to 75% to overseas sites, preflight payload configuration, and maintenance of complex tactical communications systems.

You will work with government customers and internal teams to ensure mission success. The position requires a Bachelor of Science degree with relevant experience, DoD Secret clearance, and willingness to travel multi-month deployments;

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree; 2+ years’ experience or 4+ years in lieu of degree.
• Experience operating military radios or communications systems.
• Experience with Link 16 and SADL network equipment.
• Experience handling COMSEC materials and SKL.

Responsibilities

• Travel up to 75% to overseas deployments and hazardous locations.
• Support field engineering by preflight tests and payload configuration.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on systems.
• Operate data links during missions and manage remote control of payloads.
• Collaborate with government customers and Northrop Grumman teams.
