Job summary

athenahealth is seeking a Payer Knowledge Associate to join the Payer Knowledge Services team in Boston. You will research payer policies, industry developments, and regulatory updates that affect athenahealth, its workflows, and customers, communicating findings to stakeholders to minimize disruption.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of professional work experience in healthcare, research, operations, or related field.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive, resourceful approach to solving problems and ambiguity.
• Interest in AI and emerging technologies for research/ops improvements.

Responsibilities

• Develop in-depth knowledge of athena’s services to optimize payer research across functions.
• Research payer policies, industry developments, regulatory updates, and reimbursement trends.
• Execute on projects impacting workflows in claim cycle, Rules Engine, and reimbursement shifts.
• Manage multiple interdependent assignments and communicate risks/delays.
