Job summary

Pet Supplies Plus in Canton Charter Township, MI is seeking a Store Shift Supervisor to lead daily store operations and ensure exceptional neighborly service to our PSP neighbors and their pets.

You will partner with team leaders, oversee opening/closing tasks, coach staff, manage inventory procedures, and reinforce PSP standards while delivering friendly, high-quality service to every customer and pet.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of retail experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong sales and customer service skills.
• Ability to operate a forklift and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work flexible schedules and pass drug screening.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team to deliver neighborly service and uphold PSP standards.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures and daily tasks.
• Coach and develop team members to improve performance.
• Reinforce operational policies on cleanliness, safety and security.
• Support recruiting and onboarding of new staff.
• Handle back-office tasks like price changes and cashier records.
• Engage with customers and pets to create a positive store experience.
