Job summary

Pet Supplies Plus is seeking an engaged Assistant Store Team Leader to drive excellent neighborly service in our Odenton store. You will lead the team, support store operations, ensure compliance with policies on cleanliness, animal care and safety, and help engage the local neighborhood.

You should have 2+ years of retail leadership, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, strong Microsoft Office skills, forklift capability, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience leading a retail team.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience; HS diploma/GED acceptable.
• Microsoft Office skills and good communication are required.
• Ability to operate a forklift and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be 18+ years old and able to pass a drug test.
• Flexible schedules and reliable transportation are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in operational management of the stores.
• Adhere to policies on cleanliness, animal care, safety and security.
• Promote team engagement and morale and help teammates achieve goals.
• Assist in maintaining a fully staffed team and support onboarding.
• Provide onboarding and development opportunities with coaching.
• Collaborate with community organizations for events and marketing.
