Pet Supplies Plus in Des Moines, IA is seeking a full-time Shift Lead to mentor team members and ensure neighborly service for every guest. You’ll help supervise daily operations, assist customers, and support store leaders in achieving performance goals.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of retail experience, strong sales and customer service skills, and the ability to operate store equipment. A reliable team player with flexibility is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail experience.
• Strong sales and customer service skills.
• Flexible schedules and reliable transportation.
• Must pass pre-employment background check and be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Partner with store leaders to reinforce PSP standards and daily routines.
• Provide leadership coverage up to four times a week when leaders are offsite.
• Adhere to policies for cleanliness, animal care, safety and security.
• Learn and perform back-office tasks like pricing and cashier records.
