Pet Supplies Plus in Westmont, IL is seeking a Shift Lead to guide daily store operations, supervise teammates, and deliver friendly neighborly service to pets and their people. You will assist shoppers in choosing toys and supplies, greet regulars, and model strong sales and customer service while ensuring cleanliness, safety and proper animal care.

Responsibilities include backing up management up to four days a week, supporting recruiting and onboarding, and communicating ideas to improve

Qualifications

2+ years of retail experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Strong sales and customer service skills.
Ability to operate a forklift and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Lead store team and reinforce PSP standards and daily management routines.
Provide leadership coverage and perform management functions up to four days a week.
Adhere to policies on cleanliness, animal care, safety and security.
Learn and perform back-office tasks like price changes and cashier records.
Assist in store recruiting, onboarding and team development.
Communicate opportunities to improve community engagement or store performance.
Act as store team member when not acting as manager-on-duty.
