Job summary

R.E. Beckner Construction Inc. is seeking an experienced Paving Foreman to lead our paving crews across projects in central west Florida. The ideal candidate will drive safety, quality, and on-time completion while coordinating with project managers and subcontractors.

Minimum 5 years in paving with at least 2 years in a foreman role, plus the ability to read blueprints and interpret specs, and a proven leadership track record in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of paving experience with at least 2 years in a foreman role.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
• Strong knowledge of paving techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Experience in all aspects of site development.
• Demonstrated leadership and communication skills.
• Commitment to safety and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

Job description

R.E. Beckner Construction Inc. is looking to add an experienced Paving Foreman to our team! The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in paving, leadership capabilities, and a focus on delivering exceptional results. As a Paving Foreman, you will play a crucial role in ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the paving crew, including task assignment and performance monitoring.
• Ensure all paving operations are conducted in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Manage the setup, operation, and maintenance of paving equipment and machinery.
• Accountable for following project plans and schedules, ensuring the crew performs activities to meet production goals and client schedules
• Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and subcontractors.
• Responsible for completing and submitting all required documents in a timely manner including but not limited to timesheets, daily project log sheets, equipment condition reports, repair logs, receipts, purchase orders, tool box talks, etc.
• Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, safe work environment on-site
• Adhere to all OSHA and FDOT safety procedures and standards.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in paving, with at least 2 years in a foreman role.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
• Strong knowledge of paving techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Have experience in all aspects of site development
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to manage and motivate a team, with excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations.
• Valid driver’s license
• Be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs and whole body such as reaching above shoulder, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, handling of materials, and driving.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen

Offices based out of Pinellas and Citrus Counties with jobs located throughout the central west Florida region.
