Job summary

Rogers Group, Inc. located in Madison, TN, is seeking asphalt paving equipment operators to join road construction crews in Northern Middle Tennessee.

This full-time role requires a safety-first mindset and prior paving experience, with duties spanning operating paving equipment and assisting a paving crew. The position includes a day shift with some night work, located in Madison, TN, with starting wages at $24.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of asphalt paving experience required.
• Experience working on road construction in high traffic areas including some MUTCD traffic control.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment for asphalt paving, including rake/lute, skid steer, backhoe, broom, asphalt roller, paver, and distributor/tack truck.
• Perform daily pre- and post-inspections and maintain documentation per company policies.
• Support the paving crew and follow supervisor directions on daily tasks.
• Occasional overtime and weekend work as needed.

Rogers Group is seeking motivated, punctual, and safety‑focused Asphalt Paving Equipment Operators with previous paving experience to work with road construction and highway paving crews in the Northern Middle Tennessee area, based out of Madison, TN.

Job Responsibilities

• Candidates for this position will need to be familiar and experienced in operating equipment for asphalt paving, such as:
• Rake/Lute
• Skid Steer
• Backhoe
• Broom
• Asphalt Roller
• Asphalt Screws/Screed
• Paver
• Asphalt Distributor/Tack Truck (CDL required)
• Water Truck (CDL required)

Qualifications

• An uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
• A minimum of 1–2 years of asphalt paving experience.
• Experience working with road construction in high traffic areas including some experience with MUTCD traffic control.
• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move heavy objects.
• Ability to work outdoors which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
• Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment of various sizes and weights used in road, site or highway construction and paving.
• Ability to properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment; refer major problems to the Supervisor.
• Perform daily pre‑and‑post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
• Follow directions of Supervisor as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or job.
• Perform general labor duties when necessary, and other duties as assigned.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends, as necessary.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
