Job summary

Acuren is seeking PAUT Technicians for operations in Akron, OH and surrounding areas. This will be a callout/travel position with travel up to 90% across Akron and nearby regions, focusing on pipeline environments.

Responsibilities include performing NDT testing using PAUT and related methods, developing examination techniques, documenting results, and coordinating with clients to address schedules and issues. Prior NDT certification and safety compliance are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Some college coursework is preferred.
• Current NDT certifications in UT, UTPA, PAUT, CR, DR, or equivalent are required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tests to detect defects using NDT methods (PAUT and related techniques).
• Establish examination techniques while ensuring safety compliance.
• Apply testing criteria per specifications and evaluate results.
• Review asset documentation and manage NDE activities for client engagements.
• Prepare project reports with descriptions, conclusions and recommendations.
• Possibly instruct or supervise other technicians.
• Maintain knowledge of ASME and API requirements for equipment integrity.
• Interface with customers regarding schedules and problem solving.
• Operate and interpret data with applicable NDT software and equipment.
