Job summary

Itasca Community Library in Itasca, IL seeks a friendly Patron Services Associate to welcome patrons, check materials in and out, and perform routine circulation duties with a courteous, customer-focused approach.

The role includes serving as a Passport Acceptance Agent and representing the library positively to the community. Weekend or evening coverage may be required as part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Public library circulation experience helpful.
• Customer-focused with strong communication skills.

Job description

The Patron Services team is looking for a customer service focused addition to help us serve the traditional community of Itasca. The Patron Services Associate warmlygreets and assists patrons in-person and on the phone. This staff member will check out/in/reshelve materials and other circulation duties. In addition, this staff member will represent the library and its services in a positive manner. The Patron Services Associate will also serve as a Passport Acceptance Agent.

12:30pm-9pm Thursdays
8:30am-5pm Fridays
One weekend shift per month
8:30am-5pm Saturdays and 1pm-5pm Sundays
(ICL is closed on Sundays Memorial Day-Labor Day)

$15.25-16.50/Hr. DOQ - High School Diploma/GED Required
